Here we have a Deutsche Wehrmacht Armband! These were worn by civilian volunteers whose goal was to assist the armed forces in a non-combatant role. It is constructed out of a yellow cotton base with black printed script. The obverse reads "Deutsche Wehrmacht" (German Armed Forces). The top and bottom have reinforced stitching. The back has been stitched together to size. A fine piece purchased from Vet’s family. Hans Hillander was originally from Sweden and came to America at age 12. He landed at Omaha on the 3rd day of D-day.
