A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by of Solingen. Here's a matching one by a rare marker, Clemen & Jung. The blade on this one rates Exc++. It looks like someone tried sharpening it at some point as there are scuffs toward the cutting edge. Now I say tried because it's not sharp and the scuffs are not deep, you will have to go outside and turn this in the sun to see them. The fit is nice and tight and the maker logo and name is correctly stamped on both sides with the name written out to the obverse and the traditional shield to the reverse. The undented detailed generic style scabbard is in good condition. The throat retaining screw remains intact. The throat has taken a hit and slightly bent, (see pics). The hand enhanced crossguard and pommel are zinc based. The ferrule looks great! The correct The grip has wee hits and bruises from normal period wear but no chips or cracks. This whole thing matches in patina!
