Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

Here we have a Faithful Service Cross 1914 that was donated by Price Adolf II of Schaumburg-Lippe on November 18, 1914, for all military personnel who had acquired merit in war. It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been bronze washed. The obverse features a straight armed cross, with slightly curved ends, that has a centrally placed ornate “A” (founders initial) below a crown and reads: “Für Treue Dienste 1914” (For Faithful Service 1914) to the arms. The reverse has a full flat backing. There is an integral loop and ring to the top. It measures 1 15/16 inches wide and tall. Nice bronze wash remains. A rare piece!
