Here's a nice later example. The plain blade on this example is in excellent shape! There is a bit of wear towards the tip but that's it. The crossgrain is stunning, the tip is perfect and the fit is nice and tight! No damage what-so-ever. The blade rates Exc++/NM. The scabbard is an airplane grey example with excellent detail. It has surface oxidization throughout and is also well-worn. It remains dent free and the throat is secured by two screws. The crossguard and pommel are beautifully detailed and remain in excellent condition! The celluloid covered wood based grip is also in excellent shape. No cracks or chips. It is worn to the high areas. The twisted wire wrap remain nice and tight. This piece also comes with a minty portepee that has been sown onto the hilt, Cool and we see such things in period examples.
