The blade on this one is fair. It has scratches and minor pitting throughout, the tip has been re-pointed and someone has attempted to clean it at some point in its life. The blade still remains bright with a tight fit and a nicely executed Holler Solingen maker mark. The blade rates VG/Exc. The original pebbled leather buffer pad remains intact. The silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail throughout. The bands are beautifully detailed with decorative lines to the top and bottom. I've not seen that before but can guarantee its original to the piece. Towards the tip of the scabbard, there are a few pressure marks and the seams are evident. The throat retaining screw is missing. This is a WKC scabbard, but remember guys distributors would sell parts among themselves so this is found quite often. The crossguard is Hollers second style. It is zinc based and silver plated. This one has beautiful details throughout especially to the eagles chest and wings. The holler pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns to a burnished pebbled background. The dark multi-toned orange trylon grip is a great feature on this piece! It has three or four small hairline cracks but that's about it.
