Nice example of a Municipal Shako. This is not a perfect example but makes for a great display from the exterior. The exterior is in good shape with no mothing and it just has light wear. The front and back visors are in fine condition retaining all their stitching. The body of the exterior is bright and the eagle is in great shape. The chin strap was missing on this and I found this original example and put it on. No one would ever know, but I do so as always I mention it. Comes complete with the correct aluminum cockade. The upper part of the helmet, the black top, shows some minor crazing, which is usual for these helmets. The liner is ripped out of this. The inside is marked Erel and ink stamped with the size.
