Eickhorn Ground Rohm SA Dagger

Here's another piece by the most popular maker of the period: Carl Eickhorn. The blade on this one still retains some crossgrain, the fit is nice and tight and the acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Carl Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The Rohm inscription: "In Cordial Friendship Ernst Rohm" is completely factory ground. The end has been retipped by 5mm, it has been sharpened and there is age grey and spotting throughout. The brown anodized scabbard is in excellent condition! There is one wee pressure mark to the reverse but that's it. No spotting or oxidization. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are in excellent condition. The ball is perfectly round and all four screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are also in excellent condition, matching the scabbard fittings in color and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Wf" (Westfalen). The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The brown multi-toned hardwood grip has a soft finish and looks good. It has one flake/crack to the reverse along with some pressure marks throughout. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also retains a perfect fit and has 98% of its enamel still intact. The exterior of this piece is in great condition and being a ground Rohm you know it's more desirable!
