A rare maker on this one! According to Fisher you only see 1 in 1000 of these, which is his rarest category! The blade on this one looks great! The crisp acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and dark "Wilh. Weltersbach Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain continues to remain visible. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a solid Exc+/Exc++. It shows the commonly seen surface scratches and minor age grey throughout. The steel based, brown (later painted) enamel scabbard looks good! It retains 97% of its paint and remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look good. The lower one has several hits to it. The ball has some bumps and bruises. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Ho" (Hochland (always stamped to the far right)). The brown hardwood grip looks good! It shows the odd flake along with the common pressure marks throughout. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A great early SA dagger!
