The plated blade on this one looks great! It holds a nice mirror like finish and the tip and fit are both perfect! The Correct Clemen & Jung maker mark is visible but very hard to get a picture of! It's got the name written out on the obverse and the C&J shield to the reverse. The blade rates NM. The finishing at the top is perfect and untampered with. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks great. It shows minor age spidering and spots of paint loss throughout yet retains 85% of its original paint. It could use a good coat of shoe wax and a good polish. It continues to have both throat retaining screws and remains completely dent free! The scabbard to hilt fit is perfect. I absolutely love the design on these! Just look at the pommel eagle head with the guard coming out of its mouth! Sweet! The crossguard eagles are just superb too! There is wear to the reverse of the hilt from honest period use. The grip is made of aluminum base that has been black painted. About 95% paint coverage remains. The triple brass wire wrap is snugly fit. Nicely finishing this is a troddle. Truly a great sword whose owner wielded the power over life and death in the Reich!
