Ernst Erich Witte, Kroneck, Solingen | RZM M7/98
The Ernst Erich Witte, Stahlwarenfabrik, company began in 1914. Witte registered with the Solingen authorities on April 12, 1920. The crown on a triangle above "KRONECK", within a diamond, above "W" trademark was registered in 1922. Early on, Witte manufactured cutlery, giftware and edged weapons. In 1935, Witte was located on Ritter Strasse 52 in Solingen. During the Third Reich, Witte manufactured early era SA daggers, RAD daggers and specialized in RLB daggers. Witte did receive two RZM codes M7/98 and M7/183, though no daggers have been observed with these marks. The company dissolved on April 10, 1963, while located on Burger Land Strasse.
