A Luftwaffen 2 Fernaufklärer Aufklärungsgruppe 123 Staffelabzeichen. This would have been worn by its members on the left side of their visor cap. It is constructed out of a die stamped alloy base that has been plated and contains red, yellow and black enamel work. The obverse features a soaring eagle clutching a telescope in its talons above a yellow and red shield. The full back reverse features a soldered-on nickel silver oval plate holding a well working pin assembly. It measures 5/8 of an inch wide by 11//16 of an inch tall. A nice pin!
