A great early mottoed piece! The blade on this one looks great! The dark and crisp acid etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto and "Hammesfahr Cie. Solingen Gesftzl. Geschutzt" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfectly sharp point. The crossgrain also looks great! The blade rates a solid Exc++. It is slightly sharpened, there is minor age grey and surface scratches throughout. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black painted enamel scabbard has about 99% of its original paint still intact and it remains completely dent free! The brown scabbard leather remains in great shape! It has all of its rivets and the button works well! There is a small tear beside the snap. The steel plated hilt is just beautiful! The black celluloid checkered grip plates are tightly secured and in perfect condition! The small early HJ diamond retains 100% of its enamel. A great early mottoed example right just for you!
