A very nice, rare piece, even before you consider the dedication! This one rates 9 out of 10 for rarity. The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Gustav Voss Solingen" maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible and shines nicely in the light. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates an Exc++. It shows the common surface scratches and age graying throughout. The reverse has blade etching of “1. Nordmark-Treffen 26-26 Mai 1935, Kiel”. I believe this dagger was dedicated as a prize in a SA Marine competition at the Port city of Kiel. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks excellent! It has a couple very small hits to the body you can find if you take this outside and hold it just so in the sun. It holds a good brown finish to it with much lacquer! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent. The ball retains a nice round shape and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse crossguard is also correctly stamped with the “Nm” (Nordmark). The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It is chip and crack-free. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. An excellent piece!
