RARE - Earliest era Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Gustav Voss of Solingen. Based on construction this piece can accurately be dated to 1933. The thin blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto looks great. A bit faded to the exclamation point. The stamped fox head “Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates Exc++. It shows age grey/spotting throughout along with surface scratches towards the cutting edge where it has been ever-so-slightly sharpened. The buffer pad is lost which is very typical for this blade type. The sheet metal based black enamel painted scabbard is in wonderful condition. It remains completely dent free and retains 99% paint coverage. It has the textbook earliest one 13mm wide cloth covered runner. The brown scabbard leather is in wonderful condition. It has all of its rivets intact and the snap continues to work well. The cast iron-based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 98%+ of its plating, with loss in the expected areas. The grip plates are black checkered bakelit and are in perfect condition. Both solid nickel-silver rivets remain tightly secured. The textbook earliest medium HJ diamond retains 95% of its enamel, just a bit of darkening. All Textbook earliest era HJ Knife construction. In wonderful condition and a rare maker mark. For those who don't know this is the one to get!
