An excellent example of a RAD EM Dagger! The matte finished blade on this one is in great condition! The crisp, acid etched "Arbeit adelt" motto and "RADJ Ges. Gesch Axt & Hauerfabrik" maker mark are both beautifully executed! It is numbered 11137 under the horse logo. I always wondered what this was, I've seen different #'s, serialized or ?. The fit is perfect, and so is the tip! It rates Exc++. It shows surface scratches, runner marks and minor age greying throughout. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard is in beautiful condition! It retains 99%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The brass based, nickel-silver plated and black burnished fittings provide wonderful detail, throughout the RAD logo's and decorative interweaving top patterns! Look at the reverse upper, see how it shows wear were the fitting would have rubbed the hanger? You just can't fake this stuff! All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The steel based, nickel-silver plated hilt is also in beautiful condition, matching the scabbard perfectly! The stag horn grip plates have wonderfully aged, providing wonderful contrasting beige/brown colors that only time can create! There are no cracks of chips and they remain tightly secured by two spanner/screws assemblies. An excellent looking piece that is the right one for your collection!
