M43 - Waffen-SS Gebirgstruppen Feldmütze Edelweiß Abzeichen. Worn on the side of the Waffen-SS mountain troop M43 field cap. Constructed out of a black wool base with machine embroidered grey and yellow rayon thread. The obverse features a 14-petal edelweiss flower with a seven yellow stamen center, a thin stem and two leaves. The reverse shows a mirror image mostly with white thread. One thread catch. It measures 1 15/16 inches widen by 2 13/16 inches tall. Unissued.
