An excellent product by the scarce and desirable maker: ?Bruder Schneider A.G. ? Wien?. The badge features a tombak based, two-piece, gold gilded and nickel silvered construction. The obverse depicts a gold gilded diving Luftwaffe eagle, clutching a swastika within its talons, and is surrounded by a nickel silver half laurel/half oak leaf wreath. The badge features the correct measurements, weight and is completely non-magnetic, as it should be. The reverse has the correct brass bar hinge (with a portion of the interior pin sticking out, as you often find on these), a smaller ?question mark? shaped catch, round wire pin and hand stamped cloverleaf maker mark that reads ?BSW?! The bright golden eagle provides a wonderful contrast to the dark wreath. The details to the wings and wreath are absolutely beautiful! See page 120 of Durante's Paratrooper Badge reference. A great example deserving of your collection!
