Partial Ground Rohm NSKK by Wingen

Love these piece as they guve a true sense of history just by holding one in your hand. The blade here has honest wear with runner marks, and evidence of cleaning with sharpening and minor age. This piece has traces of crossgrain remaining. The blade measure 219mm which is within the specs of a full length blade, 220mm +/-1.5mm. The fit is nice against the crossguard. 10% of the Rohm name remains despite Hitler's edict. The maker mark is correctly place exactly where Anton Wingen Rohms should be. The etch, both back and front exactly match in depth and color. The maker mark and the etching are correctly located on the blade. The blade rates Exc. The dent-free scabbard has been period repainted in a heavy black laquer. It shows some chipping and wear. The fittings show light period wear with some bumps. the ball is intact but somewhat bruised. The fittings are nickel-silver retaining all their screws. The solid hardwood multi-toned grip is in good shape with no chips or hairlines, there are some scratches and small marks from honest wear. The correct nickel-silver eagle is perfectly fit with some wear to the high areas. The roundel retains all of its enamel. The handle shoulders and radii nicely fit the solid nickel guards. The reverse of the guard is stamped "Wm". A nice example with some history at 1/3 what you would expect to pay for a Full Rohm.
