Early Ground Rohm Boker SS Dagger

Here's a decent piece by a great SS dagger maker: Boker! The blade on this one looks good! The acid etched Meine Ehre heisst Treue motto is beautifully executed and shows some faint "pimpling" we so often see on these Bokers (see Wittmann's SS reference pg 56). The reverse Rohm inscription: "In Cordial Friendship Ernst Rohm" is completely removed, it looks to have been factory removed, and they seem to have got a piece of the small double oval "B?ker Solingen" mark as well. The tip looks perfect, as is the fit! There is some crossgraining still visible. The blade rates Exc+. It looks to have been lightly cleaned, the edges have some wee hits, there is some pitting and age grey/spotting throughout. The black scabbard is a period re-painted example. It has a few pressure marks and there are surface scratches throughout. It continues to retain 97% paint coverage! The solid nickel scabbard fittings also show that same period wear, with one small pressure mark to the lower fitting. The ball has been hit in. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great! The reverse of the lower crossguard is district stamped ?I" (Munich). The crossguards/grip fits are perfect! The black hardwood grip looks good. It has the common pressure marks throughout, but that's about it. As you know finding a flawless SS grip is really hard to come by. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed! The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel. An SS dagger here for your collection!
