Carl Halbach, Solingen | RZM M7/23

The Carl Halbach Stahlwarenfabrik company was founded in July 1919. That same month Halbach registered with the Solingen chamber of commerce. The water tower superscribed with "Wasserturm" trademark was registered in 1919. The company was then located on Schiller Straße 17 in Solingen. Halbach specialized in manufacturing: pocket knives, straight razors, scissors, nail care items, nutcrackers, corkscrews, tools and cutlery sets. Halbach was a very small manufacturer during the Third Reich era. Records indicate that they manufactured SA daggers (1000 in Fisher's reference), yet the company is not included in McSaars SA rarity list, nor has an SA dagger been observed by the author. Halbach received its RZM license in 1935. The company was located on Schlagbaumer straße 121-123. In 1939, the company was owned by the widow Maria Halbach. Halbach was last active in 1968.
