Carl Zander, Kwick, Solingen
The Carl Zander, Stahlwarenfabrik, company began August 1, 1928. There was another "Carl Zander" firm prior to 1900, which this company may have been related. Zander specialized in making wooden handles for knives and table cutlery. Come the Third Reich era, early SA daggers were made-Fisher estimates 1,000. In 1939 Deutsches Reichs-Adressbuch, the firm was listed as a knife-grip maker and located at Kornerstrasse 60 in Solingen-Aufderhohe. In June 1962, Zander registered in Solingen. The company likely could not compete eastern extorts and it dissolved in August 1973.
