Ernst Kemper, Solingen

The Ernst Kemper, Stahlwarenfabrik, company began in 1899. It specialized in the manufacturing of: cutlery, gift articles and knifes for bread, meat and vegetables. Come the Third Reich era, early SA daggers were made. Fisher estimates Kemper made 1,000 SA daggers and Mcsaar rates their daggers as a 10 out of 10 for rarity. We however, believe the firm made many more daggers than sated and are thus much more common than prescribed. In 1939, the Deutsches Reichs Addressbuch lists the company at Gasstrasse 30 while owned by W. Waldo. No further records are notable and it is likely the company did not survive the war.
