F.W. Jordan, Solingen
The F.W. Jordan, Stahlwarenfabrik, company began in 1867. Jordan registered in Solingen on January 25, 1898. The Dutch Children (hollander kinder) trademark was registered in 1908. During the 1930s, Jordan advertised in Messer und Schere featuring stag horned hunting knives, cutlery and pocket knives. Come the Third Reich era, Jordan manufactured early era SA daggers. In 1939, the company was located on Altenhoferstrasse 5 in Solingen-Wald while owned by F.W. and Frau Hilde Jordan. Come 1970, the business was acquired by Kurt Reiner Witte, who also owned the Daniel Peres company. In 1986 and 1998, the company was registered at Felderstrasse 43. Jordan was still making knives, scissors, razors and manicure articles in 2001.
