Not much is known about the Fritz Barthelmess company in Muggendorf in Bayern. Come the Third Reich era, early SA daggers were manufactured-Fisher estimates 5,000. Though it is likely less than that. By 1935, Barthelmess did not receive an RZM license. It is presumed that the company ceased trading after the war.
