Isaac Wolfertz, Solingen
The Isaac Wolfertz, Stahlwarenfabrik, company officially began September 10, 1844. It registered with the Solingen chamber of commerce on November 5, 1883. Wolfertz made and advertised: cutlery, along with bread, meat and kitchen knives. Come the Third Reich era, early SA daggers were made-Fisher estimates 1,000. In 1939, the company was located on Unten zum Holz 20 (along with 22 in 1978) in Solingen-Grafrath. The company officially ceased trading on March 29, 1979.
