Karl Malsch Gust. Sohn, Steinbach Kr. Mein

The Karl Malsch, Gustav Sohn, Stahlwarenfabrik, began sometime prior to 1928. That year it was advertising "Ironware, steelware and haberdashery". The firm was located on Steigerstrasse 220 in Steinbach Kreis Meiningen, Thuringen. Come the Third Reich, early era SA daggers were made, Fisher estimates about 1,000. In 1935, Malsch did not receive an RZM code to continue manufacturing daggers. In 1942, the company was still advertising the sale of: table cutlery, in addition to kitchen, tomato, fruit, bread and meat knives. Not much else is known about the company and it likely ceased trading shortly after the war.
