Here's a salty example by Peter Daniel Krebs direct from the Vet's family last week. The blade on this example rates Exc/Exc+. The fit is perfect, the tip is perfect, some crossgrain remains and the dark acid etched 'Pet. Dan. Krebs Solingen' maker mark is beautifully executed! There is age grey and spotting throughout. The original buffer pad remains intact. The airplane grey scabbard looks good. It has great details throughout, both of the throat retaining screws remain and it is completely dent free! The aluminum eagle crossguard and pommel look great! The eagle shows great detail to its wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The pommel is beautiful with a proud swastika surrounded by oak leaves, pebbles and acorns. The white celluloid over wood grip has several hairline cracks throughout. The double twisted wire wrap remains completely intact. This configuration is correct for Krebs. This one comes with a worn portepee as well!
