Complete 1st Class War Merit with Swords with case! This award is zinc based, die struck and silver washed. It depicts a pebbled maltese style cross with two crossed broad swords and a wreathed swastika to the center. The reverse shows a full/flat back and is maker marked ?3” (Wilheim Deumer). The pin, hinge and catch all remain intact and are in well working condition! They also retain excellent silver wash. The case is made of cardboard hand has 90% of the simulated grained leather overtop. The top shows a decal of the KVK with swords. The leather hinge is broken. It remains 100% intact! Nice piece at a great price!
