Here we have a Turnerbund meeting badge held in Cologne as the 14th Deutsches Turnfest. It is made of a die struck, tombak base that has been silver washed. The obverse features a German Wehrmacht National Eagle with closed wings above a shield and the twin spires of the Cologne cathedral, and is again above a bannered "14. Deutsch Turnfest Koln 1928". The reverse shows a flat back with a recessed "Remmele & Co. Koln. Mulheim" maker mark. It also has a soldered round plate pin that is in well working condition. Nice silver wash and detail remain!
