Here we have a die struck, alloy based and silver washed DRL Sports Festival Tinnie 1935. This tinnie is actually meant for both a DRL sports festival and a celebration for the return of the Saarbrücken city to Germany after the French occupation. The obverse displays St. George Slaying a Dragon and is surrounded by: "Befreiungs Gaufest DRL 1935 Saarbrücken" . St. George is supposed to represents Germany and the dragon symbolizes France. This depiction is also on the city hall of Saarbrücken. The reverse shows a full back with a crimped well working pin and it is clearly maker marked! A nice tinnie with lots of detail!
