An excellent example with a rare etch! A beauty blade on this one! The obverse of the blade display an elegant pioneer scene etch listed as Nr. ES 102 in the Holler catalog. It is crisp and clear, just the way you want to see them! The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is perfect! The blade rates NM! There are minor surface scratches throughout. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks great! It shows minor age crazing and paint loss yet retains better than 95% coverage! It continues to remain completely dent free! The alloy based, nickel plated hilt looks good! It has a nice bright finish and retains about 90% plating coverage. It shows age spotting throughout. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are perfect! They are tightly secured to the hilt with two steel rivets. This piece also comes with a nice brown leather frog! Truly a beautiful etch that would fit nicely into your collection!
