A great piece, recently purchased from a local collector. The bright blade on this one looks great! The crossgrain is stunning as it runs all the way from the tip to the ricasso! The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is tightly secured. The blade rates Exc++. There are a few areas of age crazing and the tip is ever-so-slightly dulled. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, silver plated scabbard looks good. It has some minor spotting and a pressure mark to the obverse but that’s it. The random pebbling throughout provides some nice detail which looks good. Both throat retain screws remain intact! The scabbard sits nicely up against the hilt. The alloy based, silver plated crossguard and pommel are both in great condition. Both show similar plating wear throughout. The medallion on the crossguard has fine vaulting to the swastika on the bird's chest and the cross in its talons. The brass pommel screw cap shows only minimal wear, most of these are all buggered up so this is a treat. The yellow trylon grip is in great condition! It remains completely crack and chip free! Overall this is a great piece with a nice blade!
