A NSDAP Dienstauszeichnung 1. Stufe in Bronze. The I Stage NSDAP Long Service in Silver, was instituted April 2nd 1939, and was awarded after 10 years of long-standing and faithful work in the service of the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc base that has been bronze washed. The obverse features a centrally placed national eagle (with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika) surrounded by an oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom, all above a pebbled pattée style cross with sun bursts coming out of each corner. The reverse reads: “Treue für Führer und Volk” (Loyalty to the Leader and People) which is surrounded by that same oak leaf wreath, cross and sun bursts. To the top is an integral loop and tombak ring.The award measures approximately 1 5/8 inches tall and wide. A fine piece.
