Here we have a French Volunteer Resistance Combatants Cross! It was awarded to voluntary resistance group fighters during WWII. It is made of a die struck, tombak base and has been gold gilded. The obverse displays a patee style cross with laurel leaves and acorns overtop of the crosses arms and a centrally placed Cross of Lorraine. The reverse displays that same patee style cross with smooth arms and embossed to the center: ?Combattant Resistance Volontaire?. It has 4 inches of faded original ribbon. A nice French award!
