1st Model Luft by Eickhorn
A wonderfully aged example! The plated blade on this one looks excellent! The double oval "Carl Eickhorn Solingen" stamped maker mark is beautifully executed! It remains nice and bright with a solid fit and perfect tip! It rates an Exc++/NM! It has the lightest runner marks and the edges are a bit rough. It retains its original blue pebbled buffer pad. It has a small rip on it. The steel based, blue, pebbled leather covered scabbard looks great! About 95% leather coverage remains intact! The solid nickel fittings show wonderful age patina and match the hilt in color and wear. The solid nickel chain is in excellent condition. It has 6 upper ringlets and 10 lower, ending at a well working clip! It also has those unique connectors we can see on early examples. The solid nickel hilt looks great! All four separately inserted brass sun wheel swastikas are beautiful! The wood based, blue leather grip has aged quite nicely. It retains its brass triple wire wrap. An excellent early Eickhorn example!
