Here we have a two piece, alloy/steel based, die struck, silver Transport Pilot Clasp that has been silver washed with a blackened eagle. The obverse depicts a centrally placed black Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika within its talons. The eagle is surrounded by a laurel leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. To either side are nine oak leaves. The reverse shows the correct tombak; flat wire soldered catch, soldered block hinge and coke bottle pin. The front displays wonderful detail! A nice clasp!
