What a great example of a completely matching 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by E. Pack! The plated blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched "Siegfried Ernst Pack & Sohn M.B.H Waffenfabrik Solingen Waffen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The plated blade gives a beautiful mirror like finish! It has a perfect tip and perfect fit. The blade on this one rates Exc++/NM. It shows minor spotting and surface scratches throughout. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based nickel plated scabbard looks good. It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and both throat retaining screws remains intact! There is about 70% of the plating remaining and there is some oxidization spotting to the back. The aluminum based and burnished eagle crossguard, steel ferrule and aluminum pommel all look awesome! The eagle has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The pommel is beautifully hand enhanced and has those wee dots all around the swastika, E. Pack specific! The early trylon grip has aged to a nice orange over time. The grip is in near perfect shape! No cracks, chips or splits! The aluminum springy wire wrap remains tightly intact. This piece also comes with a worn set of hangers at no extra charge! This is an excellent example that is E. Pack through and through, truly a piece you will feel proud to own!
