Here we have a cased example of a Romanian Silver 2nd Class Manhood and Faithfulness Medal with Swords! It was awarded to noncommissioned Officers and enlisted men for service to the Crown of Romania as well as for lesser acts of Bravery. It is made of a die struck alloy that has been silver washed. The obverse of the oval award features a left portrait of Carol I of Romania surrounded by "Carol I. Rege Al Romaniei" all on a smooth field. This is below two crossed broad swords (indicating military service) and two laurel leaf clusters. The reverse reads: "Barbatie Si Credinta" (Men and Faith) and is above a laure leaf cluter that has a bowed ribbon on it. Attached to the top is a yellow, red and blue ribbon. It has the attachment bar to the back still intact. The medal comes housed in a case. The case is made of pressed cardboard with a red and gold gilded cover. The interior is white. To the top of the case it shows a crown above "Mi" emblem. To the interior it reads: "Monetaria Nationala" (National Currency). The case has the odd scuff yet still looks great! The medal is in beautiful condition! A solid example!
