What a beautifully aged example! It's the second time we've owned this one and I can't be happier to have it back . The bright blade on this one is in excellent condition! It has a beautiful mirror like finish to it which wonderfully contrasts the dark and crisp acid etched "Arbeit adelt" motto and "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark! With a perfect tip and fit the blade rates in at Exc++/NM. It shows the common runner marks and surface scratches throughout. The steal based, nickel plated scabbard shows wonderful age patina and depicts beautiful details throughout, with the: decorative swirls, random pebbling and wheat leaves! It also remains completely dent free and both throat retaining screws remains intact! The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly! The alloy based, nickel plated and burnished hilt looks great! It retains beautiful detail with the proud RAD logo to the front crossguard and eagle head on the pommel! The plating on these are usually a lot worse. This one has stood the test of time! All of the fittings and scabbard match in color and age patina. The white celluloid grip plates are tightly fit with no cracks or chips. A beautiful example in excellent condition!
