German WWII > Belt Buckles > Luftwaffe >
Here we have a single piece, aluminum based, die struck and blackened early type one Luftwaffe belt buckle. The front depicts; a centrally placed first pattern Luftwaffe open winged, droop tail eagle clutching a swastika in one of its talons, on a pebbled field, that is all encircled by a laurel leaf wreath, which then all lies on a pebbled blackened background. The reverse aluminum prongs and catch remain in excellent condition! It is also maker marked Richard Sieper & Sohn, Ludenscheid M4/38, although is hard to make out . It is slightly bent. An early, maker marked, Luftwaffe buckle that is in great condition with nice detail!
