Single-edged, unmarked straight blade with white leather washer. Nickel hilt fittings, early step style pommel, with stamped SS proof "Kulturzeichen" in underside of crossguard and top of scabbard throat. Ebony grip consists of fourteen segments separated by nickel wire wrap with perfectly positioned background burnished nickel runes button. Black lacquered steel scabbard with nickel-plated steel fittings retains 99% finish and exhibts one minor obverse dent 12 cm above lower pressed fitting. Movable attachment ring present. Sword complete with silver/aluminium thread SS officer portepee and leather backed brocade sling hanger with snap clip. Length approx. 105 cm.
