Nice dagger with a beautiful Jeweler personalization. This has a cleaned blade that is clean but does have some evidence that someone cleaned it along the way at some point. There are fines longitudinal scratches down the length like maybe a Brillo pad was used. It retains a beautifully executed A. W. Jr. Solingen maker mark and is seated through a buffer into the solid hilt! The blade rates an easy Exc. The silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail throughout with the hand enhanced bands and random pebbling throughout. The scabbard retains its original single throat retaining screw and remains completely dent free judt suffering a few dots of plating loss under the crossguard to the obverse. The unique Wingen crossguard is crisp with beautiful details throughout especially to the eagles wings, talons and wreath. It is plated with an excellent finish matching all the other components. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. The celluloid over wood grip remains completely crack and chip free! It has some dirt to its crevasses but that's about it. This one comes with the original owners initials to the reverse of the crossguard! Truly a great piece, I would jump on it before someone else does!
