RZM 324/37 SS Dagger with !

A very tough variant to find. This is nice cause I just got it from the Vet's nephew last week. Never been taken apart. The motto followed with the exclamation mark has always been prized by collectors. To date I've never heard why the motto followed by an exclamation is found on these daggers. Some say they were gifts or presented, who know perhaps someday we will? Blade is bright with a few dots of age a few scratches and a fingerprint stain to the tip of the obverse. Motto and maker mark are crisply executed. Perfect point with no sharpening. Exc+/Exc++. The fittings are all nickel. All the angles are correct. There are no chips or flakes, however you do have the normal small hits and marks one expects from period wear. The eagle is a correct nickel version and runes have 100% of enamel. The scabbard fits the dagger nicely and all the patina matches. The dent-free scabbard finish shows crazing and normal wear. The ball near perfect. The fittings themselves are nickel silver with all the screws intact. BTW, some guys get concerned about having a painted scabbard with solid nickel fittings. This is one of the few daggers that was issued this way, it is quite textbook.
