What a piece! This is a two piece, die struck, tombak based, burnished and silver washed Luftwaffe Pilot Badge by C.E. Juncker (J-3). The obverse features a centrally placed massive swooping Luftwaffe eagle with outstretched wings clutching a mobile swastika in its talons. The eagle is the attached to a half laurel leaf, half oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The reverse correctly displays the "C.E. Juncker Berlin S W" maker mark along with the tombak; barrel hinge, round wire catch, round wire pin and two rivets. The obvers displays absolutely beautiful details throughout the eagle wings, chest and wreath.
