Early Shako Police Cap Eagle

Here's an excellent example of an early first pattern Shako Police Cap Eagle. It is made of a die stamped, copper alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts an opened winged eagle with a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons, which is all above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath. The reverse retains both of its brass screws, washers and nuts. There is minor pitting to the top. It measures approximately 6 1/4 inches wide. The eagle has been slightly flattened (most likely for display purposes). A hard to find piece!
