Early Klittermann & Moog SA Dagger

Here we have an Early SA Dagger by Klittermann & Moog, it's a 1st for me cause these normally we see as a transitional! The blade on this one looks good. The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Klittermann & Moog gmbh Haan b/ Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain shines wonderfully in the light! With a perfect fit, the blade rates in at an Exc+/Exc++. There are surface scratches throughout and the tip has been re-pointed, it is about 7mm short. The tip is too bad because it would have rated a lot higher. The scabbard is in great condition! Interesting to note, that there appeared to be a center fitting and the ring is missing. It also looks as though it has a dark blackish finish underneath the brown. Likely it was a chained NSKK scabbard and the chain was removed. It has two pressure marks. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball remains perfectly round and all four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and it closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are in great shape! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "B" (Berlin-Brundenburg). The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. There are pressure marks throughout yet no cracks, chips or flakes. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed! The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A unique piece!
