A Model 1934 - Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Fliegermesser by JMB - Josef Munch of Brotterode. A rare maker on this one! I checked and it's the first time we've owned a dagger by this maker! The blade on this one looks decent. The acid etched "Josef Munch Brotterode JMB" maker mark looks good. It has a perfect tip and fit. The blade rates Exc. It has heavy age grey throughout and has been ever-so-slightly sharpened. The blue pebbled leather buffer pad is lost to time. The scabbard looks decent. The original scabbard leather has bumps and bruises throughout. It retains 85% leather coverage. The scabbard fittings look great matching the hilt in color, wear and patina. The ball has been pushed in and all four screws remain intact. The throat is DLV marked. The hilt looks great! The grip leather matches the scabbard. The enameled swastikas look excellent! 99% intact! The crossguard and pommel look great and have a nice patina. The crossguard is "K" marked. A fine DLV.
