A completely matching piece by AW Jr.! The blade on this one is a beauty! The acid etched "A.W. Jr. Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! The tip and fit are both perfect and the crossgrain is stunning running the full length of the blade! The blade rates a nice Exc++. It has been cleaned and shows minor runner marks. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The right, steel based and nickel-silver plated scabbard is in excellent condition! It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaves and acorn bands. It also remains completely dent free. The original, more efficient single, throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The alloy based nickel-silver plated eagle crossguard provides crisp details throughout the head, wings, wreath and chest! It has some plating loss throughout. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with the proudly displayed oak leaves and acorns! The white celluloid over plaster grip looks excellent! It has one wee crack but that's it. A nice and bright example!
