German Veterans Fraternity Medal 1902

Well I believe this is very rare! I couldn’t find another one on the internet. It is made of a die stamped, aluminum base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a centrally placed image of the Burschenschaftsdenkmal (Fraternity monument) below “Dem Geeinten Vaterlande” (Those unified the Fatherland). The reverse depicts a centrally placed stylized “EFV!” (Circle of the DB “Großer Burschenschafterzirkel”), below: “Ehre Freiheit Vaterland” (Honor, Freedom, Fatherland!), and is all surrounded by: “Erinnerung a.d. Enthüllung d. Burschenschaftsdenkmal b. Eisenach 22 Mai 1902” (In the memory of the revealing of the Fraternity monument in Eisenach on May 22 1902). Attached to the top is an integral loop and ring which holds approximately 3 inches of worn folded over red, yellow and black rayon ribbon. Attached to the ribbon is a well working tombak pin. A cool piece that would fit in well with your veterans collection! I posted this on our facebook page and on WAF no one seems to know what it is?
