Luftwaffe Officer Brocade Belt and Buckle

Wow what a find! Here we have an early Luftwaffe Officer brocade belt and buckle! The belt is a die struck/stamped, nickel-silver based construction that has been silver washed and gold gilded. It depicts an early droop trail pinned eagle on a pebbled background that is surrounded by an oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The buckle is attached by two square rings to a long quality ribbed, woven bright silver/aluminum construction brocade belt. The belt has two vertical grey lines with a central small red line. The belt has two sliding vertical loops. The reverse is lined in a grey/blue wool and has six length adjustment grommets. There are a few small moth holes to the interior and edges. The exterior is in excellent condition! The belt retains beautiful gilding and frosting. The buckle is wonderfully detailed throughout the eagles wings, head and wreath. An excellent example that would be a prized piece in your collection!
